Meet a modern day hero, Vered Vaspi from northern Israel. I have the honor to be a customer and friend in her artist gallery turned coffee shop in Rosh Pina. It is a community gathering space dedicated to her son Arnon who was killed in the beginning of the war. Vered comes from now 3 generations of sacrifice for Israel and the Jewish people. Her father was killed in the Yom Kippur War, her brother in Lebanon and now her son. Her journey through unknowable grief has led her to a deep commitment to building and supporting her community. Every time I am with Vered, she is on the phone with someone in her community who needs assistance. Please help me support Vered heal and rebuild through her mitzvot. The money will be given by me directly to Vered and her community projects. She has some already in motion. In honor of her father, brother and son, she is building a playground for the kids in her community and also creating a community garden called "Gan Hashloshah (Garden of Three)." She is a community pillar who is consistently coming up with ways to help the people around her. Please also visit Vered when you are up north, she is a true inspiration, her art is incredible and the coffee is good :)
To be in touch with Vered directly or to receive tax deductions through donating more directly to her projects, private message me.
This video was filmed over half a year ago and will bring you back to the war in the north before more quiet arrived. Thank you Judah Lazarus for filming and editing for this special mitzvah.
