Earlier today, I finally connected with my family and learned the heartbreaking news: Unity Bunkers Hill, in Trelawny, Jamaica; the community where my parents were born, has been severely impacted. With a population of about 2,000, the devastation is extensive.

This community has always embodied resilience and generosity—values that shaped me growing up. In the past, I’ve organized backpack drives and other events, but this crisis is far beyond what I can handle alone. Families are struggling, and now more than ever, they need our help to rebuild and recover.
