Hi, I’m Tegan — a human who’s been pushed into a corner by a system that claims to care, but leaves too many of us struggling to survive.
I know what it’s like to be doing everything you can — and still be left alone to figure out how to keep yourself and your children safe, supported, and loved.
I’ve been there.
I am there.
And I can’t keep walking past people in that same place without doing something about it.
This isn’t just about women or single mums — it’s about anyone left holding the weight of raising a baby with little to no consistent support. That includes dads, carers, grandparents, and guardians who suddenly find themselves alone in the trenches.
Because the truth is — this world should be holding all of us. And right now? It’s not.
⸻
The Moment That Sparked This:
Today, I met a mum.
She’s raising four beautiful children — and supporting her eldest daughter, who is pregnant.
Instead of being held and celebrated, her daughter is being judged, whispered about, and even cut off — some parents are telling their kids they can’t be friends with her… simply because she chose to keep her baby.
I’m sick to my stomach.
Because I’ve been there.
I know the loneliness.
I know the fight to protect your child before they’re even born.
And I know how dangerous it is to walk through that with no real support.
Their story is heartbreaking — but it’s not rare.
And it’s not okay.
⸻
The Reality We’re Facing:
• Doulas, private support, and emotional care cost thousands — most can’t access them.
• The public system offers minimal continuous support for birth, parenting, or mental health.
• Birth trauma rates are through the roof.
• Too many people are shamed for keeping their child instead of being supported to thrive.
⸻
What Good Support Can Do:
If this young mum — and parents like her — had consistent, loving, non-judgmental support…
✨ They could feel safe and empowered going into birth instead of fearful and alone.
✨ Their babies could enter the world into stability and love — not stress and isolation.
✨ They could connect with a network of people who have walked this road and can walk beside them now.
That’s what this fundraiser will make possible.
⸻
Where the Funds Will Go:
✨ Human connection — birth partners, advocates, and emotional anchors for parents navigating pregnancy or new parenthood alone.
✨ Essentials & safety — safe housing, baby items, groceries, and bills for families in crisis.
✨ Community building — creating a real village that refuses to let shame dictate the future.
✨ Awareness & advocacy — challenging the cultural narratives that punish parents for choosing to raise their kids.
⸻
Why I’m Doing This:
I’m a uni-trained teacher.
I’ve worked hard, done “everything right,” and still — I’ve been left to figure out how to raise my babies with little to no consistent help.
I’m still navigating it. I’m still holding my own world up.
And I can’t stand by while other parents are walking through the same fire.
This is more than charity.
It’s a rebellion against a system and a culture that thinks it’s okay to abandon the people raising the next generation.
⸻
How You Can Help:
• Donate — even a few dollars can change what tomorrow looks like for someone.
• Share — help us find the people who care.
• Talk — because silence keeps things broken.
When you support a parent, you change the future for their child.
When you change that future, you change the world.
For the parents who feel invisible right now — I see you.
We are the village. And we start now.
