Rebuild the Laurel District’s (only) Parklet!

Dear Neighbors, a couple months ago our district’s only parklet was smashed by a car and left in shambles.

In the 7 years since community leaders asked the Laurel Cyclery to spearhead the fundraising and building of a parklet for neighborhood use, the space has become a mini urban oasis for longtime residents and people of all stripes to relax and recharge along busy MacArthur Boulevard:

We've been encouraged by the number of folks who have asked us to rebuild. Clearly, this kind of community space is treasured in our bustling world.

Donate today and help us re-build a re-visioned parklet for our community.
Your support is needed to maintain and sustain this increasingly rare, safe space to come together, be joyful, relax, and connect with each other.

There are many urgent causes to support in this challenging moment - and we also value the importance of investing in our community’s infrastructure. These are the places that define and shape our everyday experiences.

Please donate what feels right, share this request, and join us August 13th, 11am-6 pm at the Laurel District Street Fair to celebrate cycling and community resilience in the Laurel District.

Together we can rebuild this valued space for our community. Thank you!
