Rebuild the Gisborne RSL Sub Branch

The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch is an important part of the Gisborne community. The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch club room is part of the Gisborne Golf Club.

On 17 April 2024 Gisborne RSL Sub Branch members were devastated by the loss of their club room to fire that completely destroyed the Gisborne Golf Club building. Whilst this is devastating for the Gisborne Golf Club it was heartbreaking for the Gisborne RSL Sub Branch as well.

The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch held all their regular meetings there, including monthly welfare lunches for members. The Gisborne Golf Club was used by the Gisborne RSL Sub Branch to hold functions such as birthdays, funerals and celebrations.

The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch has lost more than just it's meeting and function room. It has lost all it's memorabilia, extensive library, photos, dvd's, historical administration records and a place to call home to veterans of the community and surrounding area.

The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch supply services to the local community, especially on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day each year.

The Gisborne RSL Sub Branch appreciates everyone who donates to help the Gisborne RSL Sub Branch alongside the Gisborne Golf Club rebuild their club rooms.
