Hurricane Melissa has left the farming community of St Elizabeth, Jamaica, facing serious challenges. Many families have seen their homes damaged or destroyed, and the local hospital has also been affected. As someone who lives in this community, I am organizing this fundraiser to help provide urgent support for our neighbors who are struggling to recover.

The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing essential building materials like lumber, cement, steel, sand, zinc, nails, windows, doors, and gravel. These supplies are critical for families to repair their homes and create safe living spaces again. In addition, we will use donations to buy staple foods such as rice, flour, sugar, milk, cornmeal, canned goods (like corned beef, sardines, and mackerel), oil, chocolate, and coffee. These groceries will help families who have lost their crops and food stores due to the hurricane.

I am personally overseeing the collection and distribution of all supplies to ensure they reach those who need them most in St Elizabeth. Every contribution will make a real difference as we work together to rebuild our community and support each other through this difficult time.
