Rebuild Peapod Daycare After False Allegations
Donation protected
For those who don't know, I am the owner of The Purple Poodle Pet Salon. I am also a mother to a spicy and intelligent 4yo daughter. I am privileged to play a small roll in our local animal welfare as well as current community guidelines.
Recently someone very close to me fell victim to a portion of our broken system. Ms Mary owns a home based registered daycare, called Peapod home daycare. Mary has 20years of experience and countless families who love and support her. For 3 years she has loved and cherished my daughter as one of her own.
Earlier this month someone filed false claims of child neglect against our beloved Mary. The individual embellished and lied to many people. This started a full investigation on a completely innocent woman. Thankfully all claims were found to be false, and Ms Mary's innocence was left intact. Unfortunately these false claims brought the county liscence department down upon several children safe space away from home. Despite the opinion of myself and all of the other parents, the liscencing department required Peapod downsize to only 4 kids. Leaving a handful of kids displaced and forced into new and unsure environments.
Mary is more than "just a daycare" she is my child's teacher/second mother/security officer.
In order to have Peapod be open to the kids again, we need to run a water line from the house to the classroom. We also need to jump through tedious hoops to switch her program from a "registered" to a "liscenced" daycare. Too many times I have watched the good guy be punished for not being flawless. Meanwhile other daycare facilities are given several chances after many violations. Please don't let Peapod Home Daycare be another example of a flawed system. Consider donating to our Go Fund me or Amazon wish list. Let's get these kids back into the arms of someone who loves them.
