My name is Dominic and I've been a student of Marcelo Mafra for over 10 years. Our jiu jitsu gym—our second home—was devastated by the recent storm. Floodwaters and thick mud swept through the space, destroying the mats, equipment, and much of what we’ve built together. Everything we use to train, grow, and support one another was ruined in a matter of hours.

This gym is more than just a place to train. It’s a family. It’s where confidence is built, discipline is learned, and friendships are formed. And at the heart of it all is our coach—someone who has always shown up for us. He’s supported us on and off the mats, helped people through hard seasons, and opened his doors to anyone willing to learn and grow.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
