A few days ago, something terrible happened to my family.

On January 22, my dad called me and said, “Daughter, our house is on fire.” Because of a short circuit in the car, the garage caught fire. The fire then spread to the house. It was a sudden and very unfair accident.

My dad managed to get out of the house and save his 87-year-old mother. He also called the fire department. While trying to stop the fire, he got slightly injured.

Several fire trucks came, and about 30 tons of water were used to stop the fire.

The garage and the car were completely destroyed. The second floor and the roof burned down. The first floor was badly flooded with water. It was very cold outside, minus 16 degrees Celsius. Now the house is not safe to live in.

The most important and urgent need is to cover and rebuild the roof. This will help protect the house from snow and water and save what is still left. That is why we are raising money now.

Later, there will also be costs for cleaning after the fire. The smoke and bad smell are very strong, and we cannot remove them on our own. We also need help with basic transportation, because the car was destroyed.
