On March 31st, during a peaceful rave, armed Newark Police raided our event.
No warning. No badges. No cause.
Two were arrested. Hundreds were traumatized.
This wasn’t a reckless pop up. It was on private land, with licensed security and on site EMTs.
We took care of our people.
What we didn’t expect was a militarized response.
This wasn’t about safety. It was about intimidation
Why We’re Fundraising
This raid damaged our gear, hit us with unexpected fines, and drained critical resources. leaving us scrambling to regroup in time for the festival we’ve been working so hard to bring to life.
We’re raising $5,000–$10,000 to:
• cover costs of legal fees and fines.
• Replace damaged speakers, lighting, and event materials
• Offset the cost of the recent free event
• Put down deposits and begin infrastructure for our 2025 summer festival.
What We’re Building
This isn’t just about throwing parties.
We’re building something real a space for art, music, connection, and freedom.
A space away from heavy policing, corporate interests, and gatekeeping.
The raid reminded us why we gather.
It showed us how deeply they want to stop us.
