In a matter of days, The Northern Rivers has been washed off the map. This is one of the worst floods the country has ever seen, and not only has it destroyed thousands of people's lives, including homes and businesses, but it has also taken lives. We are here to raise funds from all over the world to help restore the magic that runs through these rivers and communities and put The Northern Rivers back on the map.
This fund raiser has now registered through a local business based in Murwillumbah, FUNDING WHAT MATTERS PTY LTD | ABN 72 651 749 665. For all enquiries please email directly at [email redacted].au and I will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours.
All funds will be utilised to 'rebuild', and accounted for publicly on this page. We will not be focusing on little things here and there. There are enough generous donors out there who can help with this. Our donations will be in $500 parcels where we can help families DIRECTLY. We are already working with Harvey Norman, and hope to work with other Electrical and Furniture stores as they reopen (and supply chains are restored) to get things that people will need to rebuild their lives. We have made a one-off grant to those in need today (3/2) and this is just because people are hungry and we need the basics today. For those still reading, and in the interests of transparency, a little about who is managing this fund raiser. My name is Nat Daley, and I have lived in the Northern Rivers my whole life. I am from Evans Head, NSW. I am a Lecturer and Tutor at Southern Cross University part-time, and I am a practicing Financial Adviser. In 2020 The Financial Planning Association of Australia named me the #1 Financial Planner AFP in the country. I don't say this to gloat, I say this as I want to give you confidence every dime will be accounted for and shared on this page as the fundraiser progresses. With all of that being said, I want to turn the lens back on to who this is about - The Northern Rivers.
