My name is Troy Reid, and I’m from Jamaica. I’m raising funds to help my parents, who are elderly and have lost their home in the recent Hurricane Melissa. I’m doing everything I can to support them during this devastating time.
Hurricane Melissa destroyed my parents’ small wooden home—the place I grew up, filled with memories and love. I recently received photos of the damage, and seeing their home like that brought me to tears. Everything they worked their whole lives for is gone. I still cannot hear their voices because of connection issues, and not being able to reach them makes this even more painful.
Unfortunately, my parents are not the only ones struggling. Many families in our community have lost everything—their homes, belongings, and the little security they had. Rebuilding from nothing is a challenge no one should face alone.
The funds raised will be used specifically to:
• Rebuild my parents’ home safely and securely
• Provide food, clean water, and other basic necessities
• Replace furniture and essential items lost in the storm
Your support will not only help my parents regain safety, comfort, and hope, but it will also inspire and support our community as we begin to recover from this disaster.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to my parents’ recovery. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity, care, and for helping restore hope to our family and so many others.
ONE LOVE ❤️
