Monmouth has been devastated by flooding — and the Monmouth Sports Association, home to football, tennis, rugby, cricket, bowls, netball and Parkrun has been completely wrecked.
Our newly refurbished clubhouse is ruined.
Bar gone. Flooring gone. Photos, trophies, memories, balls, nets, equipment — gone.
The heart of grassroots sport in Monmouth has been washed out.
This isn’t just a building. It’s the centre of everyday life for kids and adults alike.
It’s where children learn to play and build confidence; where adults stay active, connected and supported; where families volunteer, cheer, and come together. Now the doors are shut, fixtures cancelled, and hundreds of people of all ages have nowhere to play, train or meet.
What’s been lost
• Tennis courts flooded and unsafe
• Football and cricket equipment wiped out — balls, nets, stock, training kit
• Bowls mats and equipment destroyed
• Entire Chippenham field needs draining and clearing
• Clubhouse needs sanitising and fully refitting
The individual clubs have no insurance at all for flood damage. Every bit of equipment lost will have to be replaced from scratch.
Why we need your help
We’re asking the community to come together to rebuild the place that brings children, teens, adults and seniors together every single week.
Donations will go directly into restoring facilities, replacing equipment, and getting everyone — young and old — back onto pitches, courts and greens where they belong.
Even a small donation will help us reopen the doors faster and ensure that our children don’t lose yet another season of sport, confidence, and community connection.
If you can donate — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If you can share this appeal — please do.
Every gesture helps.
Let’s bring sport back to Monmouth.
Let’s rebuild our community’s heartbeat.
