Help My Dad Rebuild His Life After 25 Years in Prison
Story:
Hi everyone,
My name is Keisha and I’m reaching out to you with a heart full of hope and gratitude. I am the oldest out of 7 siblings from Chris Alexander. After 25 long years, my dad (Chris) is finally home. Chris was sentenced in 1999, out of the state of Texas to a federal prison for a small, non-violent drug charge—a harsh consequence of a broken system that disproportionately affected Black men like him. But now, thanks to a pardon from President Biden, my dad has been given a second chance at life.
Coming home after so many years is both a blessing and a challenge. The world has changed so much, and he’s starting from scratch. My dad is determined to rebuild his life, but he needs support to make that happen. He dreams of finding stable housing, securing a job, and reconnecting with the community that he’s missed for so long.
Your generous donation will help him cover essential expenses like housing, clothes, food, and transportation as he gets back on his feet. It will also support him in getting the resources and training he needs to thrive in today’s world.
After years of injustice, he deserves a fresh start—and with your help, we can make that happen. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to our family.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. Please share this campaign to help spread the word.
