As you recall from the Board meeting of October 13, 2024, Tom Gordon was appointed to head up the rebuilding of our beloved Ramada that was destroyed by Hurricane Kaye.

Tom has received a bid of $7,500.00 to rebuild the Ramada to its original specifications. To limit the use of corporation funds for this rebuild, the Board of Directors has set up a GoFundMe account so that the Las Arenas community, who would like to donate funds, can contribute to the cost of getting the Ramada rebuilt.

Our total GoFundMe goal is $10,000.00. This ensures we have the funds to cover the fees and any cost overruns. Any remaining funds will be used for Ramada enhancements (examples: furniture, counter and sink, grill, etc.). The fees for GoFundMe are 2.9% + 0.30 of every donation. We estimate the fees to be about $310.00.

So, we invite you to contribute whatever you can afford. You can donate openly or anonymously and no matter how big or how small a donation you can afford, it WILL help this cause.
