Rebuild Kainoa's Grandparents house
Donation protected
Joseph and I are here to help raise money for Kainoa's grandparents to rebuild their house here in Pavones, Costa Rica.
For those of you who do not know me, Kainoa, is my step son, I love him like my own and his family treats me as if I am one of them. His grandparents, Manuel and Ana, have lived in Pilon ( an area of Pavones) since they were 8 years old and are 54 and 48 today. They raised their three children here on this property. Manual is a fisherman, lumberjack and incredible artist of wood furniture. The family operates small rustic cabinas and cooks excellent local foods. Ana is the best local chef in Pavones in my opinion.

Manual bought this property in 1990 from the original owner. The house was built in the 70's where there were no laws for zoning in their seciton of the beach. Over 4 months ago, they had to tear down their house because it was within 50 mts of the public beach, which was made a zoning law in 1996. To complete the application for concession papers of the land, the municipality requires removal of the original house that was outside of the zoning.

Manual has been able to supply basic construction materials for his new home, but needs donations to buy furnishings. Right now they are living in a make shift cabin and are cooking in temporary outdoor kitchen, over an open fire in the heat with no refrigerator and dirt floors. They have asked me to help as they do not have internet or own a computer or cell phone. Please help us raise money to build them a comfortable home . Anything is much appreciated and will be going towards:
Electric cable and breakers- $800-$900
PVC tubing & water, septic, conduit- $600-$700
Metal roofing: $750
Cement and wire mesh: $300-$500
Kitchen Appliances- stove, refrigerator, sink, plates- $800-$1000
Screws, nails, varnish, etc: $200-$300
Labor: $1000
Ana and Manual are well respected and established members of a community who have many offerings. A little will go a long way and will make a difference not only to their entire family, but also the community around them.
They are offering stay in their rustic cabins on the beach on a famous surf break or custom wood art in exchange for donations.
$100 for 2 people per night includes two meals a day.
Custom beds and rocking chairs starting at $500, please email to inquire more.
Thank you for your time and Blessings.
