Rebuild Jan and Terry's Life Post-Helene
Donation protected
Jan and Terry, my Mother and Father-in-law, weathered Helene in their home located in the Riceville area of Asheville, North Carolina. They were trapped inside by the trees and debris, but were finally escorted out by a team from Illinois that cut a path to their home. They were four-wheeled out with their dog, Peanut. Their home suffered from flooding and tree damage. They’ve lost a car and will need to have their home gutted. They will be losing most of their possessions as the risk of toxicity and mold is too high to keep anything. They are pillars of their community, as Terry serves as the Minister at Bethel United Methodist Church and as the Chaplain for the Riceville Fire Department. Jan served the public as an elementary school Occupational Therapist. Jan and Terry are also known as Mr. and Mrs. Clause in Riceville, as they help distribute toys with the Fire Department yearly. If able, please consider donating to this fund to help them rebuild their home of 27 years and weather their current displacement and the unknowns.
