Rebuild Jamaica: Out of many, we are one people

I am a child of Jamaica. I was born and raised in Trelawny, one of the parishes hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. In the aftermath of this catastrophic event, the people in the small communities will need support for years to come to help rebuild their homes, schools, and churches. Some people are left with just the clothes on their backs. This money that I am trying to raise will go directly towards getting supplies for distribution: sheets of zinc, plywood, lumber, nails, hammers, saws, cement, and blocks. I also intend to get the daily supplies necessary: food, clothing, and toiletries. This is not just for the people of Trelawny; supplies will be sent to St. Elizabeth as well. We are not always our brother's keeper, but we need to be in this time. I have not lost anything, but I cannot sit and just watch. Let's raise funds to rebuild Jamaica, the land we love . For transparency purposes, my name is Feyoneisha McGrath. I am a registered nurse living in New York. My goal is solely to help rebuild Jamaica, the land that I love.
