Hurricane Melissa has brought unimaginable devastation to Jamaica. Entire communities have been torn apart, homes have lost their roofs, and families are struggling to meet even their most basic needs.
As a Jamaican Canadian, this hits close to home. Jamaica has always been a part of who I am, and last year I spent meaningful time living there. I have loved ones who were directly affected by the storm, and like so many others on the island, they are now faced with the difficult task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
This fundraiser is a Faded Living community initiative created to support families in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa. The goal is to help families recover and rebuild by repairing homes, replacing essentials, and bringing a sense of stability back to those who need it most.
Every dollar raised will go directly to people in affected communities. Once the campaign closes, I will travel to Jamaica to bring supplies and make sure the support reaches those who need it most.
Jamaica is known for its strength, spirit, and resilience, but rebuilding after a disaster like this takes community. Together, we can bring hope, relief, and a fresh start to families who have lost so much.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
Thank you for helping bring light back to the island we love.
With gratitude,
Necole Hines
