Rebuild Hope: Kim Family Fire Relief

On the night of January 7th, a devastating fire tore through the Altadena community, taking everything in its path. Among the homes lost was the Kim family. In a matter of hours, their family’s life — memories, belongings, everything they've worked for — was reduced to ash. But we are so incredibly grateful that they got out safely. Their family, including their beloved dog 'Jack-Jack', made it out with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

The fire, which ravaged the home and property, has left them with nothing. All of the years of hard work, all of the family treasures, all of their keepsakes are gone. It’s hard to imagine what it’s like to lose everything, but we are thankful that they are alive, and they are determined to rebuild their lives — though we know it will be a long and difficult road ahead.

The loss is overwhelming, but they are not giving up! The community is incredibly supportive, but they still face a monumental challenge. From cleaning up the debris to finding a place to live while they rebuild, every step requires help.
