Please help the George-Bates Family with 2024 tragedies

Anthony and I come to you with heavy hearts and broken souls. Our family has suffered one catastrophe after another though out 2024.

Anthony has recently been stripped of his visitation rights and access to his two sons from a prior marriage. This has been a year long battle filled with ridiculous allegations and falsified truths by his ex-wife. All of which have been ruled out by CPS. We have spent about $10,000 in lawyers fees and travel with no positive out come, and told by our lawyer, when we needed him most to, "self represent." We are truly concerned for the kids well being and state of mind as they are victims of parental alienation. All state "low income" resources are still out of our price range, and we fear for the the children's future if Anthony cannot keep fighting for them. We would greatly apricate any advice or help in this situation.

In my best effort to obtain the work/life balance my family needs from me, I accepted a job closer to home with hours that allow me to spend more time with our son. I LOVE being a breast sonographer and am VERY passionate about my work! I have finally found something I enjoy, and makes me happy to report to work everyday! However, this position is labeled as "part time" and the insurance premiums are eating us up. If I stay in this current position we are looking at $25,000 in medical expenses for 2025. With Anthony having advance RA and a toddler in daycare, our deductible and out of pocket will be met just as it has for the past 3 years. I have obtained new employment but I am heart broken that I no longer get to do what I love.

Early October 2024 Anthony's work trailer burnt to the ground. We believe due to Ryobi lithium batteries. The cause is still under investigation. He lost is work trailer and most of his tools, about $18,000 in total. His business insurance has denied his claim and refuses to pay anything. The insurance company initially admitted the agent signed him up for the incorrect policy after reviewing the phone conversation. They now are claiming it was Anthony at fault, not the agent. Again, any help or advise would greatly be apricated for this matter. This catastrophe caused us to fall behind on our child's daycare tuition. We are slowly making progress to pay it off but it's painful.

The end of November to the beginning of December I had two surgeries a week apart. I have had an abnormal amount of weight loss since giving birth to our son almost two years ago, 155 lbs. to 108 lbs. We did not know until after the surgeries that my thyroid had changed from hypothyroid to hyperthyroid. About a week after my last surgery I was diagnosed and hospitalized for pneumonia. A week and a half ago our son was diagnosed with the flu. I have been out of work for the whole month of December recovering and taking care of our child. Short term disability has paid out a lump sum of $1033.00 which, is about $250 a week. We are now unable to pay out mortgage which has increased by $400 due to property taxes.

Fingers crossed, today 12/27, was the last tragedy our small family has to experience this year. I was leaving our sons daycare after dropping him off, so that I could do my pre employment physical, and another parent pulled out in front of me causing a wreck. I'm both devastated and thankful! I have wanted a VW Bug since I was a teen and now she's gone! My dream car ripped away from me in the blink of an eye. Very thankful that our son was not in the car and both parties are not physically harmed. I could not even afford the deposit on a rental vehicle as out mortgage over drafter my account over $1,000.

Anthony and I are at a total and complete loss, and I fear for our lively hood. We very scared we are about to lose everything that hasn't already been ripped away from us. It is very difficult for both of us to ask for help, as we were both raised to sustain for ourselves. We can no longer sustain and ask for any help or advice a kind soul is willing to offer.

We thank you for your time and energy spent reading the tragedy of the George-Bates 2024 year!
