My name is Petrona. I'm am from Jamaica living in Florida and I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart, but also with a lot of hope, about something very personal to me. As you might know, our beautiful island of Jamaica was recently hit by Hurricane Melissa, and it was truly devastating. We've seen so much loss, and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

Specifically, my amazing dad and sister bore the brunt of it, and their home was left in ruins. It's tough to see them go through such a challenging time, and as their daughter/sister, I want to do everything I can to help them get back on their feet.

That's why I've decided to start a GoFundMe campaign. The goal is to raise enough to completely rebuild their house – to make it safe and warm again, a place they can truly call home. We're talking about everything from essential repairs to getting new materials and helping with labor costs.

Honestly, any contribution, no matter how small, will make a massive difference and be a huge blessing to them. Every little bit adds up, and it shows them they're not alone during this incredibly difficult period.
