Rebuild Hope for Nancy and Dale

My mom, Nancy, a 75-year-old retired postal worker, and my dad, Dale, a 76-year-old retired federal employee, met in the 10th grade in a small town in Iowa and have been happily married for 56 years. After raising my brother and me in Nebraska, they followed their dream to live in California and experience the beauty of the mountains and the ocean, which they had never seen before. After 25 years in their condo, building community and helping to raise their grandchildren, their west coast dream has come to an end in the Palisades Fire.
