On the 26th of August 2025, Get Ready Comics suffered a devastating arson attack that left their beloved shop badly damaged and a heartbreaking amount of their stock destroyed. While we’re beyond grateful that no one was hurt, the shock of this senseless act has rippled through the entire community. It’s not just a shop that’s been targeted — it’s a place that means something to so many.

Get Ready Comics is more than four walls filled with comics, games, and collectibles. It’s a home for fans, a hub for friendship, and a safe space where everyone is welcome — whether you’re a lifelong collector or stepping into the world of comics for the very first time. Paul and the team aren’t just shopkeepers; they are the beating heart of this community. Always kind. Always welcoming. Always going above and beyond

That’s why this moment is so important. This fire may have knocked them down, but we will not let it beat us. We will not let it define the story of Get Ready Comics. We stand together — not only to help rebuild the shop itself, but to support the loss of earnings, replace damaged stock, cover staff wages, and deal with the devastating smoke damage that touched so much of what made the shop special.
