Hi everyone, my name is Bianca Antonio, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dad, Gerardo Antonio.
On January 10th, my dad was on his way to work in Brawley when he was T-boned by a speeding vehicle that ran a stop sign. We are incredibly grateful that everyone involved survived the accident. Unfortunately, the crash resulted in the total loss of both the truck and his food trailer.
In just seconds, everything he worked so hard to build was gone.
If you know my dad, you know that food has never been “just a business” to him. Through Antonio’s Baja Catch 22, he has spent years serving the Imperial Valley with long days, early mornings, late nights, and countless community events. His passion has always been bringing the flavors of Baja to the Imperial Valley and creating a space where people can come together and experience great food.
Working alongside him, I’ve seen firsthand the pride, heart, and dedication he puts into everything he serves. Overnight, that dream was taken away.
Right now, we are doing everything we can to move forward and figure out what comes next.
How the funds will be used:
• Supporting basic stability while we work toward getting back on our feet
• Assisting with personal expenses during this period of uncertainty
• Providing support while my dad takes steps to remain active and productive in his work
The tremendous love and support in the messages we’ve already received mean more than we can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing by my dad during one of the most testing moments of his life. For those who have asked how else they can support us during this time and are able to contribute or share our story, we would be incredibly grateful.
With love and gratitude,
Bianca Antonio
