Rebuild Ferguson School Guidance Building

With the support of Ms. Zonett Smith, Principal and staff of Ferguson Primary and Infant School in French Park, Manchester, Jamaica, I am organizing this fundraiser to help rebuild the school’s Guidance Counselor’s Building. Hurricane Beryl July 2024 caused severe damage to the building, leaving the roof destroyed and the space unusable. This building is vital for students, providing a safe place for emotional support and guidance. Without it, students have lost a key resource, and the department has been forced to temporarily close and relocate, disrupting the support services that so many rely on.

Our goal is to restore the Guidance Counselor’s Building by repairing and replacing the roof, ensuring students once again have access to the help they need. Funds raised will go directly toward purchasing materials, paying for skilled labor, and completing any necessary structural work. I am personally overseeing the use of all donations, and I am committed to full transparency—every dollar will be tracked, and a detailed report will be shared with donors and the community.

The school hopes to have the building ready by February next year, so students can start the new term with the support they deserve. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us reach this goal. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another way to help.
