Hi my name is Meaghan Galanopoulos, i am starting this fundraiser for my family in Jamaica. This is one of the few messages / contact I’ve had with my mom and step dad during this time.

“My sister in law and her children live in my husband’s house, they have nothing left except 4 walls and their faith.

We were just hit with a category 5 hurricane, it was the scariest thing either of us have ever lived through. My husband’s house has so much damage, and with the lack of support and supplies it will be hard to rebuild.

The roof was torn off, and all windows are now gone. The bathroom was completely destroyed. Various items from inside the house were removed by the force of Mellissa. The washing machine is down the road and stuck in the ground. The bathroom sink and toilet are unrecognizable and sitting outside where the walls once stood but were blown away.

We are asking/pleading for help and resource’s! Our goal is to fix up the bathroom and, put a cement roof so the house can go back to being livable. We are also trying to be able to replace the washing machine and lots of other clothing and furniture lost in this devastation.

If there are people willing to ship items to us that is great too as supplies and food are running out.

Please, if you can help us or anyone else on this island directly it would be greatly appreciated.
