Rebuild East Madison Square Garden

East Madison Square Garden is community art center built entirely by volunteer labor and funded by small scale community fund raising. It has been in existence for more than 25 years and has hosted numerous art events including theater, dance, music and art exhibits. From 1992 on it was the staging  ground for the In Spite Of Life Players West Athens 4th of July play. Over 100 people were involved with the initial building and the fund raising. It is an important part of the creative community of Central Maine and the existence of the building as a venue has inspired many creative works.. This winter the roof collapsed due to snow load.. We are going to rebuild and are asking for help in doing this.
It now looks like that although we have insurance that the insurance is limited and does not cover roof collapse so we are looking at small scale fundraising and grant applications. We did this once before and we can do it again!
