Help our families rebuild after Hurricane Melissa.
Our families and friends in the Carter District, Craighead, Manchester, lost nearly everything when Hurricane Melissa struck. We’re raising funds to rebuild our homes, replace essentials, and help our community recover from this devastating occurrence. Every donation means hope, healing, and a fresh start.
Dear friends, family, and kindhearted supporters,
My name is Claudine Roye and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family and friends in the Carter District, Manchester, who were deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. The storm brought devastating winds and flooding that destroyed homes and left our community in crisis.
When the hurricane hit, they did everything they could to prepare — but nothing could have prepared them for what followed. The winds tore through their roofs, and heavy rains flooded their home within minutes. They lost most of their belongings and have been displaced since the storm passed.
It is heartbreaking to see our neighborhood — where we’ve built so many memories — in such devastation.
Even through this hardship, we remain grateful for life and for the strength of our community. We are determined to rebuild — not just our home, but our hope.
Ive created this Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund for Families to help cover:
Emergency housing and home repairs
Food, clean water, and basic necessities
Clothing and school supplies for children
Support for other affected families in our community
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us take one more step toward recovery. Your generosity will help restore what was lost and remind us that even in the hardest times, we are not alone.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page — your prayers, kind words, and encouragement mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and compassion. Together, we can rebuild and come back stronger than ever.
With gratitude and hope,
Claudine Roye
