After losing their home in a devastating fire, Bo and Leanna are being forced to start over from nothing.
More than 40 years ago, Bo and Leanna came to the United States from Cambodia with nothing but hope and a willingness to work hard. Through decades of sacrifice, they built a life from the ground up by dedicating themselves to providing for their three children and caring for Leanna’s parents. In recent years, they moved to Florida and fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening a Cambodian restaurant, sharing their culture, love, and hard work with their community. After a lifetime of perseverance, they finally decided it was time to slow down and plan for retirement. They had just paid off their home and were beginning an exciting new chapter of life.
While on their first trip back to Cambodia since emigrating and serving on a mission trip, they received the heartbreaking news that their home in Florida had caught fire and was deemed unsalvageable. We are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt, but tragically, everything they owned was lost. In a painful twist of fate, Bo and Leanna now find themselves starting over once again, much like when they first arrived in the United States all those years ago with nothing.
They are now facing the overwhelming reality of rebuilding their lives completely from scratch without a home, belongings, or the stability they worked a lifetime to achieve. They are also facing significant out of pocket expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
We are asking for support to help cover demolition and debris removal, permits and inspections, purchasing and installing a new home, rebuilding costs and fees, basic necessities, and temporary food and shelter while the work is being done.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and help Bo and Leanna rebuild their lives. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.
