This morning, our community experienced a devastating tragedy. Barb Zeroth, a beloved daycare provider in River Falls, lost her home to a fast-moving fire that engulfed her home within just 10 minutes. Her home of 25 years now gone, along with her livelihood.
Barb runs a daycare out of her home alongside her daughter, a family business that has cared for so many local children over the years. While we are incredibly grateful that Barb was able to safely get all of the children out, the fire tragically claimed her cat and destroyed nearly all of her belongings. Along with her home, Barb also lost the space that supported her livelihood and her daughter’s, leaving them both without income for the interim.
Barb is more than a daycare provider — she is mom, sister, grandma, great grandma & friend. She can be found cheering at countless River Falls sporting events and supporting local families. With children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply rooted in the community, Barb has spent years giving her time, care, and heart to those around her. Many families have trusted her with their little ones, and she has been generous beyond words to those in her community.
Now, Barb needs our help. Funds raised will go toward immediate essentials such as clothing, temporary housing, replacing basic household items, and helping them begin the long process of rebuilding both their home and their family daycare business.
Any contribution — big or small — will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Let’s come together for Barb the way she has always shown up for this community. ❤️
