Andreas and Eli are Mayan descendants from Belize, and they recently had their house burn to the ground. They are rebuilding their home on their traditional community land as well as taking the steps necessary to attain the education needed to further their ability to contribute to the local community, and the development of the future of Belize.

Eli is working diligently to become a teacher to provide a guardrail to the youth of her indigenous heritage. She is one of the last tenuous threads that is working tirelessly to keep alive her traditional Mayan heritage for the preservation of her communities long held knowledge and beliefs.

Please reflect momentarily on the impact that making a simple contribution will make as it has a very real possibility to create a meaningful impact in the lives of two people who have been given a limited access to resources, which is quite different than what we all consider normal.
