Reboot Britain - Remove Reform UK

In 2024, we helped remove the sitting Tory MP, Rehman Chishti, from office in Gillingham and Rainham. We did this by micro-targeting voters and using creative canvassing to split the Tory vote. We also sent an important message to Labour that Brexit remains an issue for our children's futures. However, some stronger medicine is needed to break Labour's silence on Brexit ... and to end the rise of Reform.

We will therefore stand for Council as an independent in Medway and then in the next General Election.

We beat two national parties in 2024 with no campaign team and no party budget. Gaining 344 votes whilst also recommending that people voted Labour at two sets of hustings! Anecdotally, we estimate that this strategy may have given 300-500 more votes away to Labour which was part of our plan to defeat the Tories. We campaigned solo over four weeks, but really only two weeks, as our leaflet only hit the streets 10 days before the election date. Had we campaigned over a much longer period, we will have done much much better.

By the way, 344 is a lot more than most independent candidates get, even nationally funded parties such as the SDP, Rejoin Party, Climate Party etc. And NO candidate recommends that people vote for other parties! This time we'll aim to take votes from anyone who wishes to vote for us.

As a result of our campaign, we now have meetings in place with Labour to discuss an end to Brexit and other matters to Reboot Britain.

A Council seat is perfectly within reach and we will then work with the prevailing leadership (probably Labour) to keep Reform out of Medway (they are already prevalent in Kent).

Why should you donate?

Donating to this campaign is an opportunity to support a creative and strategic effort to bring about political change. We must break the Parliamentary Paralysis that surrounds the question of Europe and our place in it.

How will we use the money?

In 2025 we will register the party (£150), create and distribute a leaflet for the local area (£3000) and conduct regular surgeries in cafes around the area (£1000).

In 2026, we will offer the public a national conversation about a Better Britain in a town hall type setting with speakers and consultative sessions (£3500). Plus we will continue with face to face encounters and a leaflet campaign (£4000).

and so on. In 2027 the local elections in Medway take place and a GE is probably in 2029 or sooner. We must be ready.
