- A
Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my sister Rebecca, her partner Luke, and their two beautiful young boys.
Rebecca has been recently diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)- a progressive and life-limiting illness that has already begun to change her daily life in profound ways.
While she may still may have many years ahead of her, those years won't be lived with the same physical freedom or energy that many of us take for granted.
Her symptoms are worsening, and even everyday activities are becoming increasingly difficult.
Despite this, Rebecca's spirit remains strong, and she is determined to make meaningful, joy-filled memories with her family while she still can.
Thier dream
Rebecca and Luke dream of taking thier boys on a road trip around Australia- a once-in-a-lifetime journey to explore our beautiful country, enjoy moments of wonder and adventure, and make unforgettable memories together.
It's a chance for the boys to remember thier mum not just for her illness, but for the love, laughter and joy she brought into thier lives.
But with Rebecca unable to work and Luke taking on much of the caregiving, finances are incredibly tight. They simply can't do this without help.
How you can help
We're hoping to raise funds to help cover:
- A reliable campervan or vehicle and travel essentials
- Fuel and travel expenses
- Basic living and medical supplies for Rebecca on the road
- Entry fees to parks, museums and experiences for the boys
- Peace of mind that they can travel safely and comfortably
Any donation-big or small- will go directly to helping this family live out a dream while Rebecca is still able to physically participate in it.
Even if your not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page. Just helping us spread the word is an incredible gift.
Follow thier Journey
To keep friends, family, and supporters updated Rebecca has created a Facebook page where you will be able to follow thier trip- with "a moment day" https://www.facebook.com/share/1AhSf2RqKJ/⁷
Capturing the special little moments that make this journey so meaningful.
Thank you for taking the time to read Rebecca's story. Your kindness means more than you know.
