Mitakuyapi,
Reaffirming Indigenous Ways will be hosting a four-day tipi encampment near Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 24- April 27, 2025. This will be an educational and cultural event featuring workshops and daily activities like sweat lodge ceremonies, informational presentations, and nature walks on the beautiful 80-acre rural property where the event will take place.
We are expecting several cultural educators such as Steve Tamayo of Bluebird Cultural Initiative and local Indigenous Chef Anthony Warrior, as well as other culture and language bearers.
We need support to buy rocks for sweat lodge, water, food, gas money for volunteers and presenters, and we would like to start gathering funds for the Fall 2025 encampment.
As we continuing building infrastructure for this camp, we plan to use many of the things that we purchase for future camps. We hope to host these camps each spring and each fall. And we invite all of you to join us. Please send us a message if you wish to join us so we can keep a count of who will be there unless we exceed our capacity to serve people. To do so, please send a message on Facebook to the Niskithe Prayer Camp.
