Over the past 6 years, I have experienced emotional abuse from my daughters father, and in the last 6 months, I have noticed troubling signs that he is beginning to direct the same behavior towards her. At only 3 years old, my daughter has started reacting negatively during their phone calls, which deeply concerns me in how he is effecting her mentally and emotionally. Recently, her father has told me multiple times that he believes I am unfit to care for our daughter and has told our daughter that he is going to come get her, leading to her sudden fear of the dark and going to sleep. I have been her primary source of both financial and emotional support her entire life, and I am committed to protecting her and ensuring she remains in the loving environment she has always known. Despite his lack of interest and inconsistency in her life, and harmful comments about my parenting, my first priority is to protect her from any more harm.
