Hi everyone, my name is Jack, and I'm fundraising for my dad, Chuck, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Our family is still trying to process the news, but we're staying hopeful and focused on helping him get through the difficult road ahead.

My dad is scheduled for major surgery soon, on December 16th at Sloan NYC, followed by chemotherapy. Because of the recovery time and the toll treatment will take on his body, he won't be able to work for at least two months.

Anyone who knows him knows how hardworking and proud he is, and stepping away from work is not easy for him — financially or emotionally. Due to frequent doctor's appointments, blood work, and frequent scans, he has used all of his PTO. As you can imagine, this places a financial hardship on my parents' finances. My parents have always been extremely hardworking, and they have never had to be in such a financially difficult position.

I created this fundraiser to help ease the financial pressure so he can focus completely on healing.

Funds will go toward:

Medical bills and treatment-related costs

Transportation to appointments

Monthly household expenses while he's unable to work

Any unexpected needs during recovery

I'm organizing this with the help of my aunt Cheryl, who is kindly assisting me in managing the account and keeping everything transparent and organized.

We're doing this quietly now because we don't want to overwhelm my parents while they're already dealing with so much.
