Royal British Legion Charity Remembrance Walk

Uniformed Protective Services students at Brooklands College are deeply committed to honouring the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women. To pay tribute to their memory, on the 12th November 2024 we are embarking on a 16-mile charity walk, visiting war memorials in Byfleet, Addlestone, Chertsey, Shepperton, Walton Upon Thames, and Hersham. At each war memorial we will be carrying out small acts of remembrance.

This journey isn't just about physical endurance, this is an expression of our gratitude and respect for those who have served our country, not only in both World Wars but all wars. We aim to do this by raising funds for the Royal British Legion Addlestone branch, with this we can support the vital work of the Royal British Legion in providing life-long support to serving and ex-serving members of the British Armed Forces, their families, and dependants. All funds raised will help the Royal British Legion offer essential services such as:

Financial assistance: For housing, education, and healthcare needs.
Social support: Through community centres, clubs, and activities.
Emotional support: Counselling and advice services.

Your generous contribution will make a big difference to the Royal British Legion community and those who they support.
