Hi Friends! Rayli Here:)
As many of you know, Cambodia has always been a place that is close to my heart. I have had the privilege to go on two trips - one in 2012 at age 8, and another in 2023 at age 19. Both churches I have gone with (Central Vineyard and Vineyard Columbus) partner with and sponsor a nonprofit called Asia’s Hope. They provide long term and sustainable orphan care for children in Cambodia, India, and Thailand. This organization is so intentional with their work, specifically through local leadership in every country they work in. Their work is AMAZING and the communities of Asia’s Hope are true reflections of the character and Joy of Jesus.
I am so excited to share that I have the opportunity to go back with a team from Vineyard Columbus this July!
Actually, excited doesn’t even begin to capture how I am feeling. I have been praying non-stop for the chance to return! I have experienced such personal and spiritual growth both times I have gone to Cambodia - When I was 8, this trip was the thing that made my faith my own, and I was baptized right after I got back. My last trip brought such growth in my own faith, and both trips have been so important to me that I got a tattoo last year to remind me of God’s goodness through this amazing place.
It is clear to me that God has a particular calling for me in the work of international ministry, and I am expectant of great things this summer. I am particularly excited to go and see the kids at PE6, which is the home that Vineyard Columbus sponsors. I got to spend time with these kids back in 2023 and they are so incredibly wonderful.
To be clear - we are not bringing Jesus to Cambodia or to these kids. God is doing such great things through their communities there and these brothers and sisters in Christ are fierce followers of Jesus. We are simply partnering with Jesus for the work he is doing in Cambodia and supporting our beautiful family on the other side of the world.
