Hiking for Freedom: Trekking Machu Picchu to Change Lives
As we take on the breathtaking challenge of hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, we are not just climbing for adventure—we are climbing for impact. Every step we take is a step towards hope, restoration, and transformation for communities around the world.
Hiker's Bio:
This is Raquel from the highlands of Peru, part of the wonderful ethnic group, the Quechua people, who live in the mountains and trace their heritage to the ancient Inca civilization. I met Jesus as a teenager at 14 years old. Later, I married at 40, and my husband and I have been together for almost 24 years. I have a loving and caring husband, and while God did not give us biological children, He has blessed us with many spiritual children to care for and nurture.
Serving the Lord is the most exciting and fulfilling experience for me. I have dedicated my profession as a nurse and missionary to extend the Kingdom of God among my people. I love experiencing new things, and being part of this group is a great challenge for me. However, I trust that God will help me reach the goal for His glory.
God bless you, friends!
