Ramadan Iftar Meals

Hello Everyone,

Ramadan Mubarak to all - Hope you and your family are doing well in these difficult times.

I am reaching out to you in a long shot, but hoping my ask resonates with you and would be something you would be interested in helping do.

As you and I know, with our local Mosques being closed due to Covid-19, many many Muslim families and individuals who relied on the Mosque services of nightly or weekend iftars will now not have such an opportunity and many will struggle to get good healthy meals as many of us (Alhamdulillah) will enjoy.

I am sure with the current difficult times, many families and individuals will struggle just to make do - given job losses, cut wages, and little to no source of income.

I have secured a deal with Paramount Foods and Sultan BBQ & Grill to build iftar meal boxes that we will give out at a socialized venue for pickup and/or home delivery - on 3 Saturdays (May 2, 9, 16).  

This is something my wife and I thought of, and have keen interest in joining to do, while involving our 2 boys to show them the importance of helping others and volunteering.

My challenge to you is in helping me raise as much as we can to help provide a meal to those in need - every penny counts.

We as a family have stepped up to cover the first Saturday on our own and pledge $1000 towards meals.

Myself nor my family is affiliated with anyone, and purely want to do this out of our heart, and goodwill, while looking for no reward or recognition from anyone.

If this is something you can help us with, please step up and donate money, time, or resources (or if you can share areas these meals would really help).

I hope together we can help start something, not only for now, but the future as well.
