Fund a Meal this Ramadan in India and Pakistan

Assalamualaikum, my name is Sadiyah Qureshi and my friends and I are trying to raise money to support families in need of money in order to nourish themselves during Ramadan this year. However we can’t do this without your help. Let’s try and make sure that our brothers and sisters in Pakistan and India have food on their tables from April 12th this year. The aim is to raise at least $5000, Together we can make this happen. 


Covid-19 has affected every person on this planet in one way or another. Given the high rate of poverty in South Asian nations, Covid-19 has made the lives of less-fortunate people even worse. Therefore, The Ramadan iftar campaign is put in place to fundraise money for the laboring-class in the month of Ramadan. We request everyone to donate as much as they can. May Allah reward each and everyone of you for this. 


As I mentioned before, the money that you donate, will be sent to my close friends in India and Pakistan, and they will make sure that the funds go in the hands of those who are experiencing poverty and aren’t able to afford food. Specifically in places such as Mumbai, Surat, Islamabad, and Karachi as these are the main locations where our brothers and sisters are in need of our help. The money can help individuals buy dates, vegetables, fruits, roti, chicken etc for themselves and their families. Perhaps even new clothes for Eid!

Zakat, or Charity, is the Third Pillar of Islam, a significant instructing. Being magnanimous and accommodating the poor are significant highlights of the Muslim character. Just a little bit of money that YOU donate today can help fill the stomach of our fellow brothers and sisters in Islam. The goal is to have food on everyone’s table this Ramadan, in shaa allah.
