As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh. UNC Charlotte’s Muslim Student Association is raising funds to provide nightly iftars to students on campus during Ramadan. For many students, especially those living in dorms, recent reverts, and those far from family, having a place to break fast together makes Ramadan feel like home.
Our MSA’s mission is to build community, support students spiritually and emotionally, and create a welcoming space where everyone can belong. This Ramadan, we plan to provide food daily each week so students don’t have to choose between study, sleep, and a community iftar.
Why we need your help: There is a growing number of students who rely on campus support rather than family during Ramadan. Meal costs and catering prices have risen, and student budgets are tight. Many students living in residence halls don’t have easy access to communal iftar spaces or kitchen facilities.
Every dollar helps, whether it’s contributing to a meal, sponsoring a night, or helping us buy essentials like plates, and utensils. Your donation will directly fund warm meals, safe gathering space, and the chance for students to connect and pray together.
Please donate and share this campaign with friends, family, and neighbors. Jazakallah khair for helping us create a stronger, kinder campus community. — UNC Charlotte MSA
