Ramadan Iftar for the displaced in Bamako Mali.

All Muslims know about two of the great teachings of Islam that remind the believers the importance of caring about the situation of our brothers and sisters who happen to be in hardship/fitna. The first teaching states that "You are not a "Mumin" or firm believer submitting to God Almighty when you sleep on a full stomach while your neighbor sleeps on empty stomach." the second one teaches that the worldwide Muslim community is like a single body that feels pain when any part of the body is hurting. From these reminders, we are launching a campaign to raise money in order to provide some needed nutritional assistance during the month of Ramadan to the displaced populations fleeing violence from the center of Mali and currently living in camps in the suburbs of the capital Bamako. These displaced people are "Peuls and Dogons together" who have lost everything when they fled from targeted killings at the hands of unknown armed groups allegedly seeking to bring about inter ethnic conflicts in the country for political goals aiming at dividing Mali in two separate nations. The displaced people are currently living on humanitarian donations thanks to the efforts of Malians like the young student Diahara Toure in the video we borrowed for our fund raising campaign. We are not in touch with Diahara herself, but her video inspired us to do like her and bring our contribution to the cause, therefore we decided to uploaded the video in question to give you an idea of the situation at the camp of the displaced, back in early March, and more people have joined the camp since. Our aim is to make sure that these displaced populations don't fast the days of the blessed month of Ramadan on empty stomach, and that they have something to eat when they break their fast. GoFundMe does not operate in Mali, therefore at the end of the campaign i will withdraw the funds raised and transfer them through Western Union to a local volunteer in Mali, all the money minus the transfer fees will be spent according to the nutritional support goals we have set for Ramadan, and hopefully do more if the available funds allow it. We are trying to do something to alleviate the suffering of these poor people who found themselves in an unfortunate situation due to no faults of their own, and we hope we can count on your generous donations dearly needed as there are several hundreds with a majority of widowed women and children in need of food and clean water, we urge you to please donate generously!
Allah wants us to help the poor, the widows and the orphans in our societies regardless of their faith or race or ethnicity, let us invest for our "Akira" by helping these displaced populations made of poor people, of widows and orphans.
