Ramadan is a blessed month of fasting, reflection, and compassion. It is a time when Muslims come together to support those who are struggling and ensure that no one is left hungry at iftar.

Sadly, for many families in Nigeria, Ramadan is a period of great hardship. Rising food prices, unemployment, and economic challenges mean that some families struggle to afford even a simple meal to break their fast. Parents worry daily about how they will provide food for their children, especially during Ramadan.

This appeal has been created to support vulnerable families in Nigeria with food for sahoor and iftar during Ramadan, so they can fast with dignity and peace of mind.

The fund will be used to purchase of essential food items locally in Nigeria, packaging and preparation of Ramadan food packs, distribution to vulnerable families through trusted community contacts. All funds raised will be used solely for Ramadan food support.

This fundraising campaign is being run to respond to the immediate Ramadan need. We would like to make this an annual event. Formal charity registration and a dedicated charity bank account are in progress and will be completed as funds become available.

Until then, funds will be ringfenced and used only for this Ramadan appeal, spending will be tracked and recorded.

A post-Ramadan update will be shared with donors, including how many families were supported and how funds were used
