Ramadan 2025: Help Us Support Families in Afghanistan
Ramadan is the holiest month in Islam, a time of reflection, prayer, and giving. Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset, using this time to strengthen their faith and grow closer to God.
But for millions of children and families in Afghanistan, fasting is not a choice—it is their daily reality. The country remains in the grip of a severe humanitarian and economic crisis, leaving countless families without the means to afford a proper meal to start or break their fast.
In 2025, food insecurity in Afghanistan remains a critical issue, with nearly 20 million people struggling to access basic necessities. Severe malnutrition continues to affect children under five, with many in desperate need of life-saving nutrition.
Who We Are & Our Connection to This Cause
My name is Marwa, and I am based in Canada. Through Care2Give, my team and I are committed to supporting those in need, especially during Ramadan. We have been running this initiative for several years, ensuring families receive the help they desperately need.
My team includes of Tobah Mohibzada and volunteers, who are on the ground in Afghanistan. They will be responsible for collecting and distributing the funds directly to families in need.
How the Funds Will Be Collected & Distributed
• Donations will be sent through MoneyGram and collected in Afghanistan via Western Union by our trusted team members.
• Funds will be distributed to families, with $200 CAD worth of essentials given to each of the 5 selected families
• The funds will go toward purchasing essential groceries such as rice, oil, sugar, flour, and kidney beans to ensure families have enough food during Ramadan.
• We will provide photos and receipts as proof of distribution to maintain full transparency.
Our Goal
The last 10 days, Care2Give aims to raise $1000 to support 5 families in Kabul. With your help, we can ensure these families have the means to properly observe Ramadan and find some relief in these difficult times.
