Rallying for Our Family: Caring for Our Daughter with CP

Introduction:

We are the proud parents of a beautiful daughter who lives with cerebral palsy and complex medical needs. Her journey began in the NICU, and since then, we've been navigating a life filled with appointments, therapies, and constant care — all while trying to stay financially afloat.

Our Story:

We have a son that is almost 2, and twin girls that are 8 months old. When the girls were born, due to a series of complications in delivery, twin B (Everly) sustained extensive brain damage and her little life has been an uphill battle since day one.

In early June, I will be losing my job due to the company ending my remote work options. For our family, relocating simply isn’t possible. We live in Michigan where we are blessed to have the support of extended family who help us care for our daughter — support we absolutely cannot do without.

My husband has been actively searching for work for over a year but hasn’t yet been able to find stable employment with the benefits we need. We’ve been making things work as best we can, but with my job ending, we are facing a financial cliff we can’t avoid on our own.

We are asking for help to create a cushion to get us through this time of transition — to cover medical bills from our daughter’s NICU stay that we are still paying off and to manage her ongoing care needs as we try to rebuild our stability.
