On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Marissa was a victim of horrendous domestic violence. She was assaulted with a deadly weapon, requiring hospitalization and facial reconstructive surgery, and recovering from a harrowing Traumatic Brain Injury. Marissa is now facing future costs of medical bills, possible future facial plastic surgeries, the costs of raising two small children, ages 2 and 4 months, and finding suitable living arrangements for her family.

Marissa is an amazing, dedicated mother, and always puts others before herself. She has worked as an STNA caring for so many other families' loved ones for the past 3 years, and now is in great need of the community to rally around her and become a source of love and care for her in this time of need. Numerous future doctor appointments, therapy, counseling and her injuries will require her to be off work for an undue substantial amount of time for recovery. She is in desperate need to help her keep her and her childrens lives going while going through one of the most challenging times of her life!
