Lake Ridge community…let’s help one of our own. Coach Rodriguez (Rod) is in need of our help. As we all know, he is a selfless, servant leader who loves working with your children as much as they all love him. He has had a crazy year with multiple surgeries and procedures. Insurance said he needed to get a total knee replacement in his early 40s, only to be told Tuesday that insurance considers this an “elective surgery” and now he must pay for the whole surgery upfront.

Coach Rod, who has a junior soccer player at LRHS, would never ask for help, but in a two-teacher family with two in college and a club soccer player, they are gonna need our help. I know he has to pay at least 10k before 6/7 to have his surgery. Money is tight for us all, but if everyone in the community can give 10, 15, or 20 dollars, we can get him there. The surgery cannot be postponed, or he won’t be ready for football. So we have to hurry, hurry. Coach Rod is a 21-year veteran, so he has impacted thousands. Let’s share, share, share.
