Rally for Terry

Hi everyone, my name is Candice Eldridge, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. Terry Henderson, my step-dad, went through emergency brain surgery last month. He was flown from Klamath Falls to Eugene by emergency flight on March 24th, and my mom drove to him the next day. He was in the hospital, including ICU, for a week. He ended up getting two procedures: one on March 26th where they drained the brain bleeds from both sides, and another one on the 29th to cauterize the blood vessels to make sure the bleed stopped. He was released to go home on March 31st with a wicked new haircut and limitations.
Unfortunately, on April 26th, my mom took Terry back to the hospital because he started having seizures, and Saturday they started getting worse. After a CT scan and some tests, Terry was flown back up to Eugene at Riverbend ICU early Sunday the 27th along with mom and went into emergency surgery and has been here ever since. While in surgery, the surgeon took a sample from under the bone and was able to confirm he did have an infection on the right side of his brain. Terry was in ICU until yesterday and is now in his own room and recovering slowly, very slowly. Release date could be early next week, but that is not the end. Terry will need some pretty intensive rehab for the foreseeable future. When someone goes through three brain surgeries within this short amount of time, the brain will need as much rest and recovery as it can get.
For those of you who know Terry and my mom, they both work hard for a living. My mom works full-time, and Terry owns the shop in Klamath. Until further notice, Terry won't be able to work, and with my mom taking time off to be here and take care of him, she has taken time off too, which means very little income at the moment. I wish I could win the lottery so they wouldn't have to worry about money. I am wanting and willing to do anything I can to help my parents. They have always been there for me and our whole family throughout the years, no matter what it has been. Any little bit helps, even if it's just a share.
With donations from here, it will help my parents with future expenses, time away from work, and medical expenses. The most important thing right now is the time taken to heal.
Please continue to keep Terry and our family in your thoughts and prayers. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out. All of the phone calls, messages, and the outpouring of love have been pretty amazing to see from everyone. Terry is a huge part of the community, and you can see it, and I am so grateful for each and every one of you.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
I love you Ter Bear <3
